I haven’t done the weekly photo challenge in awhile, but when I saw the theme, I knew the photo I wanted to post. What caught my attention first was the man walking across the top of the billboard. I then noticed the contrast between the advertisement and the people below. I had only one chance to capture it from our moving car before we passed it.
I think the intention of this challenge was to focus on a particular visual element in a photograph, but I think focusing on a particular mental element more accurately portrays the world through my eyes. I don’t see “things” as easily as I see ideas, emotions, or metaphor.
