I thought it would be fun to do a “this day in history” photo blog, but it proved to be difficult coming up with something from September 8th that matched photos in my digital collection. The only thing I knew about September 8th is that it’s my friend Leslie’s birthday.

When it’s late on the west coast most of my east coast friends are in bed. Nights are very lonely when you’re away from home. Last night I dreamed of being back in Madison again, but the town was empty. I walked all the trails and didn’t find anybody there, either.
