Lions in The Kruger

Kurt and I have been discussing how we’re currently both in “Kruger withdrawal.” It’s been several months since our last visit, and I’m not quite sure how we’re coping.

Some recent lion activity on one of the sightings websites we follow had me thinking about the lions we saw there on our last trip. We were headed for an early morning walk, and just where we were supposed to park for our walk was a nice little pride of lion…

Good morning, pride of lion. Mind if we hike here?

Handsome, aren’t they?

Happy Friday, readers.

  1. Yoiks! That is kinda scary!! I don’t think that would be quite like stepping on a snake accidently! Wow!

    1. They are so huge when you’re on foot. You don’t realize just how big a lion is until you’re either sitting low in a car, or walking on foot.

  2. I was just telling a friend about Ukutula last night—not the same, obviously, but the awe of being that close to lions hasn’t faded. I’m jealous you got to see so many in Kruger!
