Weekend Window: Covered Bridge Festival

Kids' Train Covered Bridge Festival
Each of the two festival sites at Mingo Creek County Park Covered Bridge Festival had a small train for the children to enjoy.

This weekend’s photo blog captures the annual Covered Bridge Festival at Mingo Creek County Park in Washington County, Pennsylvania. On the 3rd weekend of September each year, festivals are held at covered bridges throughout Greene and Washington Counties in PA. We are lucky to have two covered bridges within fifteen minutes of our house in Lover, PA: The Ebenezer Bridge and The Henry Bridge. Both are located in Mingo Creek County Park, where there are two festival sites set up with a variety of vendors.

We enjoyed the outing with Kurt’s parents and hope you’ll enjoy the photos.

Typewriter key ring jewelry
I’m not often surprised by crafts at festivals, but this was my first introduction to typewriter keys converted to jewelry. I debated between this and the TAB CLR ring, but in the end, Kurt convinced me to go with the nickname.
