The Everyday Wife in Cape Town

African literature reading

I missed a great opportunity today. At a lovely poetry workshop at Open Book Festival in Cape Town, I sat next to Colleen Higgs, publisher of Modjaji Books. I was so busy chatting with her that it slipped my mind to add a photo of The Everyday Wife, our September book club reading, with the publisher of the book!

Next time…

In the meantime, here is the book with a view from my room here at The Townhouse Hotel.

Everyday Wife Modjaji Books best African poetry Phillippa Yaa de Villiers

You have one week left to read either The Everyday Wife or Taller Than Buildings and submit your questions for author Phillippa Yaa de Villiers. To learn about September’s author and her books, please click here to jump to last week’s post.

Remember, every question you submit for the author, and/or photo of the book in some interesting place or with you holding it gets you entered in a drawing for a signed copy of The Everyday Wife.

To enter just submit your questions and/or photo to marla@marlasinkdruzgal.com no later than next Wednesday, 16 September 2015.

Curious what to ask? Just take a look at July’s Q&A with Futhi Ntshingila, or August’s Q&A with Nthikeng Mohlele.

I can’t wait to read the questions you submit for the first poet in our book club!

Love, MarLa
