So far, I have been wrong every time I try to predict the winner of one of these giveaways. With both the River of Doubt book signed giveaway, and this one, for The Tiger’s Wife, I was certain that in a field with few entrants, the person who had the most entries was favorited for a win. Each drawing there were one or two people with multiple entries, yet each time the winner was someone with a single entry…

Thus it was again, when I put my hand into the jar and out came the winner—someone who entered exactly once: a fellow blogger who goes by Crazy Train to Tinky Town.
Please join me in congratulating her. I believe she resides in the UK, so I can’t guarantee the book will arrive prior to Christmas, but I’ll do my best. Please make sure you send me your address for the mailing asap so I can get it out the door and across the pond! Email it to me: marla at marlasinkdruzgal dot com
WAIT…I’M NOT DONE!
As most of you know, I buy books and get them signed for these giveaways because it’s my extra way of supporting Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures. I’m a proud supporter of this nonprofit organization, and if they weren’t bringing these wonderful authors to town, I wouldn’t get to go hear their lectures or get signed books by them.
So when one or two of my readers really make a point of going to the Facebook Page of PA&L and thanking them, or going to the author’s page and thanking them, it really makes me happy. Two readers who really go the distance on entering these contests and particularly who give a lot of love to Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures because of this blog are Dakota Garilli and Michelle Hokaj McCully.

And for that, I’m giving each of them the two other signed hardcovers of The Tiger’s Wife that I was going to donate to a couple organizations in 2013. Please make sure I have your address for sending them. *Please note that these will not make it for the holidays, because this was a spur of the moment decision, and those books are at our house in PA. I’ll send them when I get home this weekend.
Everyone else is entered into the drawing for the 2 VIP Tickets to RZA in the spring, and as long as you send me your address, you’ll also receive a Traveling Marla postcard!

And remember, you can win a cow until all the cows are gone!!
Good luck, friends.
Love, Marla
Congrats Crazy Train! Marla, hold onto mine until we see each other. I have an idea about that…I’ll email you!
Yay for Crazy Trains!
I know her 🙂
I want a cow, I like cows.
Isn’t she wonderful!? I love it when good people win things.
Leo, can you do me a favor and put your cow request on the cow post here: http://travelingmarla.com/2012/12/11/screw-it-have-a-cow-no-really-i-have-cows-for-you-giveaway-week-day-3/
I forgot to include the link when I wrote this post. That way I can keep track of who to send the cows to. Thanks!
OMG – what a delightful surprise – you do that a lot Marla, thank you so much and can I just say that I love your FB picture. At least the UK mail is more reliable than the Turkish!
Yay for you my friend!
Hopefully it’s more reliable than the U.S. mail. Our mail forwards back and forth between Ohio and Pennsylvania. It’s a wonder we ever receive it because they have our forwarding and move orders all mixed up.
