I remember this costume. This was in the 80s, and I wanted to go as Cleopatra (yep, what a surprise...teenage girl wants to dress for Halloween as sexy so&so). Anyway, a little duct tape and the mangling of a set of curtains/drapes from our house and voila!
I think this was my attempt at telling scary ghost stories by the campfire one year. I dunno. Or my attempt at Ernest goes to camp.
Sick again today. My body is just announcing the arrival of cold and flu season, but it’s enough to allow myself a reprieve from a long post and just give you a few photos of past Halloweens, non-Halloween costumes and Halloween-esque pics. If I hadn’t somehow fried or magnetized my best back-up drive, there would be a lot more, but these will have to do.
This will be the first year we haven’t given out candy in I don’t know when. But we’ve been told kids don’t trick-or-treat much in our area. Makes me want to borrow somebody’s kid and take them around. Do you have big Halloween plans?
Love, Sasquatch
P.S. Only 2 more days of Sasquatch! Friday I hit the salon and some much overdue waxing!
In '08 we had a big Halloween party at our house in Lover, PA. I don't know what happened to most of the photos but I found this one of the fake cemetery we built still lingering on my hard drive.

Technically not a Halloween party but sort of. Kurt and I dressed as The Argonath for my sister's Lord of the Rings themed birthday party (she was born on Halloween so it works!)
Late 70s in Marion Center, PA. Also not Halloween but a costume is a costume! I'm the one pulling the wagon. We were playing dress-up as babies. Um...
I'm the one in the very original bathrobe and shower cap costume playing the Mellophone (easier for parades than my french horn). I am not big on high school reminiscence, but I gotta say, what I miss more than anything is marching in the band. I LOVED that shit!
