Victoria Falls, on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe
Once upon a time, a writer held a contest, and there were many winners. The writer carefully created a Flat Stanley version of each winner, and took them on a journey to Victoria Falls.
Today is the journey of one of those winners. Flat Harry, from West Virginia, USA, enjoys fishing, so Traveling MarLa created a fishing version of Flat Harry, and she thinks he had a grand time…
Flat Harry looks for a nice place to fish.
Flat Harry asks, "Can I fish here?"
"You better not fish here," says Traveling MarLa, or the hippos will eat you.
Security at the Victoria Falls Hotel, Zimbabwe, are entertained by the strange, flat Americans.
In Chobe National Park, Flat Harry encounters elephants on safari.
Traveling MarLa cracks a joke. She and Flat Harry start laughing...
Flat Harry laughs so hard he falls over. No more strawberry daquiris for you, chides Traveling MarLa.
Flat Harry decides this is NOT a good fishing location.
"Victoria Falls!" Flat Harry is very excited.
"I see people at the top of the Falls!" says Flat Harry. Traveling MarLa tells him that's "The Devil's Pool" where she and Kurt swam the day before.
"But you better not try it, Flat Harry, or you'll probably tumble right over."
