The Crown Prince’s Rolls-Royce Phantom Chrome? Maybe. Maybe Not.

So I recently may or may not have been in Dubai on vacation and may or may not have wandered onto the property of The Palace Hotel…

…where I may have spotted a Rolls-Royce Phantom with a chrome bonnet…

…which may or may not belong to some Prince or Crown Prince or some such title, who may be a royal of someplace that rhymes with Body Shmashmabia, as told by a UAE friend who may or may not have thought he recognized the plate…

…and who may or may not have asked me why I was taking photos of the registration plate and how I got onto the lot where the car was parked…

But the sign only said “Don’t Touch.” It didn’t say “Don’t Photograph.”

And how can one (who may or may not have had such an encounter) not take photos of such a gorgeous piece of machinery?

And there you have it. What Traveling MarLa may or may not have encountered on a recent vacation in Dubai. Except that, of course, there are photographs, watermarked Traveling Marla, indicting her of these hypothetical wanderings.

My own “dream car” if I were to pick a modern one, and if I could ever afford such an indulgence, or overcome the burden of guilt associated with spending enough money to change the lives of countless people, would be the Bentley Azure convertible. Yummy.

Do you have a dream car?

Love, Marla
