Who Influences You?

You might remember that I’m on deadline with the manuscript revisions this week, so I’m spending more time offline than on. For the rest of the week I’ll post a photo and brief about this life in South Africa.

But first, I realized I didn’t give you anything yesterday for Manuscript Monday!

Each writer has a style and voice she can call her own, but some of the best parts of our writer selves come from outside influence: reading; workshops; insightful professor and mentors.

I was excited to see that one of my primary influences, Rosaly Roffman, is reading this weekend at the Carnegie in Pittsburgh, while an ocean away I’m finishing a manuscript that began with an essay written 20 years ago under her tutelage. Click here for event details!
