I need to find myself. Can you help me?
Okay, I know exactly where I am. But I need to disconnect from the internet for our move. While I can always grab service on my phone or at Starbucks, I think I’m going to be hella-swamped and would like to know I have the last few weeks before our move to South Africa to just focus on getting the house finished packing.
So I thought it would be fun if some of my favorite bloggers might consider each taking a day and writing a post (short or long, photos or not) in the theme of “If Marla’s blog were mine, it would be _____________” and make it your own for that day – using your interests, your art, your humor, your poetry, your fitness focus, ANYTHING! Hell, if you even just start with “Marla made me write this, but it has nothing to do with her narcissistic self” that would be great! Be yourself. You’re my dream team because you’re you!
And if you’re a reader and always wanted to try your hand at blogging, volunteer to write me a guest post as well! You’ve been reading my posts and you might have some quite funny or insightful things to put out there (you know who you are!)
I would like to include a photo of you (headshot or whatever your primary photo for your blog is) in the post, and there would be plenty of link-backs during your post, and at the end of each post during the guest blog-period, I will give readers another link to each of your blogs.
And I’ll encourage my readers to check out your blog and to comment on things they wish I could learn or incorporate from each of you.

I know I’ve listed more than three weeks worth of people, but I also know how busy people are, and I will be lucky to have even a few of these wonderful bloggers submit a guest post. But I can dream!

I just have to do it this way because I can’t give access to a couple dozen people on the account while I’m gone. I won’t edit you unless you want me to. Maybe you want to copy and paste one of your favorite posts or photos or drawings to introduce my readers to your “best.” That’s fine, too!

Today’s photos are in memory of my mom. It’s been five years today since Pancreatic Cancer took her away from so many people who loved her. Coworkers from Joy Mining Machinery gave me a gift certificate to a nursery when she died, and I used it to purchase the weeping cherry tree.
It blooms every year at this time. Mom and I also shared a love of daffodils and buttercups, forget-me-nots and lilies of the valley. They are abundant around my home here in Lover, PA and it helps a little at this time of year to see them blooming.
